The property is situated in the forest east of Osensjøen in Trysil. The area is well known for skiing, hiking, hunting, fishing, bicycling, boating and the use of kayak or canoe. During the summer the lake has become a very attractive area for activities of many sorts. Beautiful beaches invite you to go swimming.
Originally it was built as a schoolhouse, but was later refurbished as a holiday rental house, with dormitory bedrooms. Today we offer 48 beds in 10 rooms, but we can arrange additional guest beds in a bigger dormitory upstairs, where we have a multipurpose hall. Here we have a piano and a small stage. We endorse using the house for cultural activities, but it can be used for meetings, parties as well as lectures.
On the first floor we have a large conference room with a stage, a piano, 35 conference tabels and 150 folding chairs. Here is also a projector, a large projection screen and a tv. The conference room can also be used for sleeping.
Spacious entry way with tables and chairs. There is plenty of room for outerware and shoes.
We have set the house up for self catering. So you bring what you need of food and drink, and make your own meals, dishes, cleaning etc.
If needed, we can help with ordering food at the shop, put you in contact with caterers, or even find kitchen staff that you can rent.
Bedrooms:
Idavollen has bunk beds in most of the rooms. Here is a list of the different sleeping facilities:
Ground floor rooms:
Rom 1 – 5: 2 bunk beds and a single bed – 5 bed spaces in each room
Rom 6: 1 double bed and 2 bunk beds – 6 bed spaces
Rom 7: 1 120cm bed and 1 single bed – 2/3 bed spaces
Rom 2 etg:
Rom 8: 3 bunk beds – 6 bed spaces (and storage of duvets and pillows)
Rom 9: 1 double bed (can be seperated if required) and 1 bunk bed – 4 bed spaces
Rom 10: 1 double bed, 1 bunk beds, 1 single bed – 5 bed spaces
3 extra beds are located in the hallway outside 9/10.

Kitchen:
We have a large kitchen with two cookstoves, coffee machine, industrial dishwasher (steamer), cold storage and pantry, and a dining room next to the kitchen.
PRICES
We have seasonal pricing. The following are the 2026 prices:
5000 kr per day on weekends, 4000 kr per day on weekdays for groups of 10-50 guests.
20 % discount for a full week, 40 % discount for a full month.
5000 kr cleaning fee is additional.
